505 - CT Admittance Tester
Protecting revenue from CT metering installations is made much easier with the Model 505. It is connected into the 5A or 1A secondary of a CT during a normal meter test, and injects a 1.6kHz audio frequency signal into the secondary superimposed on the 50Hz or 60Hz current. The microprocessor in the 505 computes the admittance of the CT which should have a characteristic value according to its ratio.
