4842 GPIB Bus Switch & Multiplexer
The Model 4842 GPIB Bus Switch is a GPIBcontrolled switch that enables several GPIBControllers to share one or more GPIBdevice(s) or lets a single GPIB Controlleroperate multiple Bus systems. The 4842 isbasically a GPIB controlled A-B-C switch forthe GPIB bus. When used as a Bus Switch, the4842 lets a GPIB controller connected to thecommon port select and control devices attachedto the numbered ports. When used asa Multiplexer, the 4842 lets Bus controllersconnected to the numbered ports share thecommon bus and any devices attached to it.
